RADFORD PEOPLE AND EVENTS

TWO LONG-TERM COMMITTEE MEMBERS LEAVE
Mrs Esther Arnold and Ms Barbara Mickley have left the Radford Park Arboretum Committee and we would like to record our thanks for all the work they have done in the past few years. Best wishes for the future to both of them.

Dr Andy Stevens - an appreciation
Dr Andy Stevens, Plymouth City Council's first Conservation Officer, was a good friend of the Arboretum. Dr Stevens' tours of the Arboretum during the Annual May Walk and Coffee Evenings were always popular. A memorial oak tree was planted and the Arboretum was dedicated to Dr Stevens in commemoration of his lifetime's work in conservation. He is greatly missed by all involved with conservation in the City of Plymouth.
